The Community Service Learning class and counseling department at Paragould High School invite both junior high and senior high students to attend the Personal Empowerment Project on November 9 at Paragould High School from 10 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. This workshop is designed to teach pre-teens and teens the facts about healthy relationships, social media and personal awareness for safety, personal defense moves, and follow-up steps to take if they do unfortunately become a victim. Lunch will be provided and students should wear comfortable clothing and sneakers for the self-defense session. Parents are welcome to attend as well to learn the danger signs they may see in social media and relationships that their child is experiencing. Presenters will include our partners from Life Strategies, Paragould Police Department, and Arkansas State Police. If you have questions, contact Mrs. Stacey Horn at PHS.
