This year's homecoming theme is "Once Upon a Time" and is sure to be a great time. The document attached outlines all of the activities and events including a bonfire for 9th - 12th grade students as well as PSD faculty and staff. This will be the second year for this event. Students will be treated to grilled burgers and hotdogs, chips, dessert and a drink. They'll be able to play yard games and then at 8pm everyone will gather around the bonfire and the DJ will play music. It's an excellent time of fellowship for students and a tradition we hope to continue for many years.
Each day has a theme for dressing up and we hope all Rams from infants through 12th graders will participate. There is an art contest for our students who love to be creative. This year's artwork will again be judged by 3 Paragould alumni using a set rubric.
One of our sweetest events, Dig for the Cure, will be held on Thursday, October 12th on Doc Paynter Court on the PHS campus. This worthwhile event raises money for local breast cancer organizations and honors those in our community who have fought or are fighting breast cancer. Games start at 5:00pm.
The JROTC is once again hosting Tailgates and Touchdowns from 4 - 6pm in the JROTC cul-de-sac on the PHS campus. PSD students eat for free; adults and guests are asked for a $5.00 donation. All are welcome to attend this fun event prior to KICKOFF!
The Rams take on Forrest City and kickoff is scheduled for 7:00pm. Get there a little early though; you won't want to miss the newest tradition Head Football Coach, Randy Phillips has started. It's called the Ram Walk. Approximately 6:50pm the football team marches arm in arm along the outside of the track in front of our home bleachers to go into the run out tunnel. Students of all ages are encouraged to join us on the field to cheer on the Rams as they take the field.
An alumni tent and table will be set up for alumni to gather. We hope to see many past Rams, Bulldogs, Lions, and Razorbacks in attendance. We'd love to have you!
